THE NSWROA 2009 RACING’S NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS IS ONLY ONE DAY AWAY

The clock is ticking and the countdown is well and truly on for the Racing Industry’s Night of Nights and the flagship event of the NSW Racehorse Owners Association, the Racing’s Night of Champions, which will take place tomorrow night, 13 August 2009 at the Grand Pavilion at Rosehill Gardens.

This prestigious event, which not only pays homage to the best New South Wales Racing has to offer in recognising achievements for both horses and their humans, also supports Australia's leading cancer charity – Redkite.

Without giving too much away about the night, some of the incredible items that will feature in the Monster Auction will include:-

• a wonderful trip to Dubai for the opening of the Meydan Racecourse, the world’s largest racecourse, for the 2010 Dubai World Cup – a definite once in a lifetime experience.
• the ‘Anita’ necklace by Lester Brand – a Baby South Sea pearl strand strung with an 18ct white and rose gold enhancer set with diamonds.

The Silent Auction will also feature some wonderful prizes including:

• a Black Shelly dress by outstanding designer, Alex Perry
• a “Dynasty of Kings” print by renowned equine artist Lyn Beaumont
• a “Samantha Miss” memorabilia piece which includes her racing plates worn in all her group wins.
• A “7 days and 7 nights” getaway break at the Coast Resort at Merimbula – travelling there in style in your own (for a week) 7 Series BMW and also enjoying a double Magnum of Taylors Estate Cabernet Sauvignon during your stay.

There will also be a raffle with exceptional prizes conducted on the night and a “lucky door prize” will also be awarded.

The Feature entertainment on the evening will be provided by the Tim Freedman Trio, featuring Aria Award winning singer/songwriter Tim Freedman and the Gotham City Horns are the after party band.
