RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR BENEDICT CHAN

It is with great regret we received Benedict Chan’s resignation as a Director of your association after serving 13 years. Benedict is a life member of the association and was Vice President for more than 10 years. Benedict introduced the Racing Night of Champions and was primarily responsible for developing the night to what it is today.

Benedict was the Owners representative on the Racing Industry Participants Advisory Council from 1996 to 2004 and NSW Owners’ representative on the Australian Racehorse Owners Council (2006/7). Benedict has also served on the Australia Horse Racing Industry Council, National Racehorse Owners Association and International Racehorse Owners’ Association (IROA) during his tenure at the NSWROA.

It has been Benedict’s efforts as a Director on the IROA that are of most note in more recent times delivering papers and insight into Racehorse Ownership on a global scale.

The NSWROA thank Benedict for his long service and dedication, he will be sorely missed and we wish him all the best in the future.
